The awarded project is titled &#8220;Use of artificial intelligence as a diagnostic support tool for skin lesions in primary care in Catalonia&#8221;, and is supervised by Josep Vidal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"FluidPluginCopy ContentPasted2\">The jury awarded two exceptional secondary awards of 500 euros each: the first to Laia Cases with the project &#8220;Description of the impact of COVID-19 in the residential area of Catalonia through the analysis of massive data&#8221;, supervised by Jordi Ambl\u00e0s, and the second to Dolors Garc\u00eda with the project &#8220;3D\/3D+ tool for the challenge of clinical complexity in the emergency services. Multidimensional approach to the elderly patient in the emergency department&#8221;, supervised by Joan Espaulella and Anna Arnau.<\/p>\n<p class=\"FluidPluginCopy ContentPasted2\">The award ceremony took place on the 30th of September during the day of Sant Cosme and San Dami\u00e0 in the Column Room of Vic City Council. The President of the Board of Trustees of the Fundaci\u00f3 IRIS-CC, the Rector of the UVic-UCC, Mr. Josep Eladi Ba\u00f1os, was in charge of awarding the grants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"FluidPluginCopy ContentPasted2\">Created in 2000, the aim of the Consultori Bay\u00e9s Grant is to promote the research career of professionals from Osona, Garrotxa, Ripoll\u00e9s, Bages and Bergued\u00e0 in the field of life and leaht sciences within the framework of a doctoral programme at UVic-UCC.
