IRIS-CC wins a tender for the technical and communication management of the European Registry on Helicobacter pyroli management (Hp-EuReg) project. The three-year contract includes the management of the online research platform REDCap, the evaluation of data quality, the monitoring of researcher participation and the implementation of the study’s communication plan. Hp-EuReg is part of the TOGAS (Towards Gastric Screening Implementation in the European Union) project, funded by the European Union’s EU4Health programme.
IRIS-CC researcher Anna Cano-Català, technical project manager of Althaia’s Gastrointestinal Oncology, Endoscopy and Surgery Research Group (GOES), will be in charge of its management.
With a sample of almost 70,000 patients and more than 350 active researchers, the Hp-EuReg aims to evaluate the diagnosis, management strategies and treatment of adult patients infected with Helicobacter pylori throughout Europe. Helicobacter pylori is the most common chronic infection worldwide and is the root cause of diseases such as chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer and gastric cancer.
