On Friday 6 October 2023, the General Management for Health Planning and Research of the health Catalan department notified the authorisation for the constitution and operation of the IRIS-CC Biobank, which is scheduled to start working on January 2024.
Located in the laboratory building of the Consorci Hospitalari de Vic (CHV), the Biobanc will work initially with the historical collections of the CHV and Althaia’s Pathological Anatomy services, as well as the new collections of fresh biological samples that will be stored there.
