On 25 July 2023, the IRIS-CC received a resolution from the Directorate General for Health Planning and Regulation of the Generalitat de Catalunya accrediting its own Ethics Committee for Research with Medicines (CEIm).
This is a very important step in the process of institutionalisation of research and innovation activities in the field of ethical evaluation of clinical trials and other research projects. It is the result of the work carried out by the Clinical Trials Unit, the CEIm technical secretariat and the clinical trial managers of the founding institutions. The first operational meeting of CEIm will take place on 13 September.
